About this course
A group of Golf enthusiasts met at the residency under the chairmanship of the then British resident A.P.Howell ,Esq and took the decision to establish this club at Bolarum on a gently rolling plain of about 200 acres . Thus came into being on 13th April ,1888 one of the oldest golf clubs in the world . In 1905 the clubhouse was built by Ramanna Pullaiah.
The oldest course in Hyderabad with a history that dates back to the late 1800′s & early 1900′s ( the clubhouse was built in 1905) the Bison Envirnomental park & training area (BEPTA) has been the bastion for golf in the twin cities for many decades. Located adjoining to the EEPTA course it is a extremely friendly course for first time golfers with easy access to the driving range & practice facilities. The course layout is one of the most unique ones you will find with as many as 15 holes having hazards / OB’s or roads in play.
Many golfers complain about this course – its more to do with the challenging conditions than anything else. The course is a 18 hole , 6483 yard , Par 72 layout with some very challenging holes . A preferred lie course this is a very inexpensive option with greens fees being affordable. The course has a driving range , 2 separate club house facilities ( one at the 1st hole & the other at the 10th hole) & also has a compact clubhouse .
